Hybrid Acrylic Tape is a specialty packing tape that combines the characteristics of both acrylic and rubber adhesives. This self adhesive tape offers a unique balance of properties that make it suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly in the packaging and industrial sectors.
When it comes to packing tape, it seems you get one thing at the cost of another. Acrylic tapes have a higher resistance to extreme temperatures and UV degradation, yet yield a weak adhesion to surfaces like plastic and recycled materials. Hot melt tapes have a strong initial tack and work with several kinds of surfaces, but it yellows and degrades faster than acrylic. Hybrid tapes merge the benefits of acrylic and hot melt and negate their drawbacks.
Hybrid self adhesive tape is a polyester/polypropylene material with a coating of acrylic-rubber hybrid polymer adhesive applied to one side. The fusion of acrylic and rubber adhesives results in a strong bond with many types of surfaces, including cardboard, plastic, metal, and more. It adheres well to both smooth and rough surfaces, making it suitable for a wide range of packaging materials.
In addition to its strong adhesion, hybrid tape offers great environmental durability. It can withstand conditions with extreme temperatures and high humidity without compromising its adhesive properties. The self adhesive tape maintains its adhesion over time, providing a reliable seal that prevents packages from opening or getting damaged during transportation. It also resists UV light, moisture, and aging, ensuring that the tape remains effective and long-lasting.
