Strapping Tape is a shipping tape that is frequently used in palletizing and bundling applications. This versatile tape is a tensilized MOPP film material that provides a sturdy hold and durability.
Unlike filament tape, which uses fiberglass strands to reinforce it, strapping adhesive tape is made of monoaxially-oriented polypropylene (or MOPP) film, a high tensile strength material that can only stretch in one direction. The MOPP material makes the tape lightweight while also being tear and break-resistant. This tape can withstand environmental contaminants like moisture, dust, and scuffing. The pressure sensitive tape is easily applied by hand and its acrylic emulsion adhesive forms an instantaneous and secure seal on packages.
Strapping tape is ideal for shipping and storage applications, but it is also handy for bundling household items and repairing objects like boxes and damaged books. We offer this reinforced tape in 3/8” to 1” widths and in white, clear, and black colors to serve a wide range of needs. Tape dispensers are recommended for safe and convenient use of this product.
